Alphabet Quadruples Miami Office Footprint At 1450 Brickell
Alphabet Inc., the parent company of Google, has significantly increased its office footprint in Miami’s Brickell financial district.
The technology company expanded its lease at 1450 Brickell Avenue to approximately 45,000 square feet, up from an initial space of about 10,000 square feet.
Amkin Management owns the Brickell Avenue office property. Blanca Commercial Real Estate was identified as the brokerage involved in the transaction. Financial terms and the length of the lease were not disclosed.
The larger commitment provides another indication that major corporate tenants continue to see value in maintaining offices in Miami, particularly within Brickell’s concentration of financial services, professional firms and technology companies.
Alphabet’s decision also stands out as businesses reassess how much office space they need following several years of hybrid-work experimentation. Rather than reducing its Miami presence, the company has elected to substantially increase it.
The transaction was reported as closing July 22.
