JLL Expands South Florida Industrial Team With Key New Hire

As JLL continues to expand its industrial brokerage services in South Florida, the firm announced the hiring of longtime commercial broker Ken Morris as Senior Vice President.

Morris will focus on providing industrial real estate brokerage services in the tri-county area.

Over the past five years, the JLL South Florida industrial brokerage team has strategically grown in size with the addition of industry heavy hitters. This was led by the highly touted recruitment of Brian Smith and Audley Bosch in 2017 joining seasoned veteran Sky Groden, followed by the addition of Peter Sheridan in 2020.

“Ken’s addition to the JLL industrial brokerage team will further support our continued strategic growth in the market and help meet our clients’ evolving real estate needs,” said Smith, Managing Director at JLL, who also serves as JLL Industrial Lead for South Florida. “As the region continues to experience record demand and significant development activity in the industrial real estate market, the hiring of an experienced real estate professional like Ken will strengthen our best-in-class team as we continue to expand our client roster and portfolio of properties.”

For the past 33 years, Morris has operated Morris Southeast Group, a successful brokerage and property management company that he purchased from his father in the early 2000s. During his tenure there, he has completed over 500 lease and sale transactions involving office, industrial, retail, and commercial spaces valued close to $1 billion.

Morris holds the prestigious Society of Industrial & Office Realtors (SIOR) designation and has the Real Property Administrator (RPA) designation from the Building Owners and Managers Institute (BOMI). He holds a director position on several charitable organizations in the community, including the Greater Fort Lauderdale Alliance, Jewish Adoption and Foster Care Options, and Nova Southeastern University’s Alan & Susie Levan Ambassador Board, and Center for Innovation as a charter Founder.

Morris graduated from the University of Miami’s School of Business. He is married with two teenage sons and enjoys standup paddle boarding and long walks with his dog.
