Life Science & Tech Park Signs 2 New Tenants

University of Miami’s Life Science & Technology Park signed leases totaling 10,000 square feet with Community Blood Centers of South Florida and a Broward County medical device firm.
The nonprofit blood center services most of the hospitals in South Florida. Its new facility will have 20 people in a research lab for testing the compatibility of blood samples and in distribution. The UM Tissue Bank is also committed to lease in the building.
Emunamedica plans to move from Hollywood to the UM research building. The wound care medical device company would have about 25 employees in its headquarters and laboratory
The 252,000-square-foot project, developed by Wexford Miami in partnership with UM, is set to open in June. It is nearly 45 percent preleased.
