Sun-Sentinel Leaving Home

A Sun-Sentinel spokeswoman confirmed the company has signed a long-term lease to occupy 30,000 square feet at the Broward Financial Centre at 500 E. Broward Blvd. Terms of the lease were not disclosed.
The company’s existing lease, for about 56,000 square feet at the New River Center at 200 E. Las Olas Blvd., expires at the end of 2011. The new lease takes effect in January 2012.
The Broward Financial offices are to include the Sun-Sentinel’s executive offices, newsroom, and some marketing and advertising staff and employees with WSFL-TV. A number of other staff members will move to a company-owned property in Deerfield Beach.
Both the Sun-Sentinel and WSFL are owned by Chicago-based Tribune Co.
