Tenant Signs On For 37,000 SF At Former Office Depot HQ In Boca
Equinox has secured a deal in Boca Raton, marking its expansion in Palm Beach County.
The luxury fitness chain has signed a lease for 36,700 square feet at the former Office Depot headquarters, which is being redeveloped into a mixed-use campus by Related Group, BH Group, and PEBB Enterprises.
“Equinox is an ideal addition to our development, providing our tenants with top-tier health and wellness options right within the complex,” said Isaac Toledano of BH Group in a statement.
In 2023, the development team purchased the 29-acre site at 6600 North Military Trail from Office Depot for $104 million, after the retailer downsized to a 214,684-square-foot office space.
The joint venture received approval earlier this month for the redevelopment, which will unfold in four phases. The project will include two office buildings totaling 400,000 square feet, a parking garage, and an eight-story apartment complex with 500 units—10% of which will be designated as affordable housing. Additionally, nearly 43,000 square feet of retail space and 1,160 parking spaces will be included.
Equinox, which is owned by real estate giant Related Companies, is also growing its presence in the area. The fitness chain, which already operates five locations in Miami-Dade County, has signed a 35,000-square-foot lease at the CityPlace complex in West Palm Beach, also owned by Related Companies and Related Ross, a new venture led by Related Companies founder Stephen Ross.
