Univision Expands With 40,000 SF Lease In Doral

Univision will expand its operations in Miami-Dade County with a 40,000-square-foot office lease at 9250 Doral.

Taylor & Mathis’ Brian Gale and Andrew Trench represented landlord Delma Properties while NGKF’s Mitchell Millowitz and Lance Benson represented the Spanish language TV network. Univision also has offices across the street.

This marks a big turnaround for the building, which was completely vacant two years ago and is now 88 percent occupied. Delma Properties renovated the building with Class A finishes.

“Tenants are getting a great value,” said Gale. “They love the modern renovation, the Doral location and the building’s large 50,000 square foot floor plates.”

Univision has both back office operations and TV studios in the Doral area. The company’s headquarters is in New York. Univision Holdings has filed documents with the Securities and Exchange Commission for an IPO and New York Stock Exchange listing. In those filings, it reported revenue of $1.32 billion and a net loss of $177.7 million in the first six months of 2015.

As of March 31, Univision owned 310,108 square feet and leased 133,139 square feet in Miami-Dade County.
