Banyan Street Capital To Completely Renovate, Rebrand Former Centrum Doral Office Park
Banyan Street Capital is completely renovating the former Centrum Doral office park and will bring the newly refurbished and renamed Doral Center to the market in partnership with Independencia Asset Management LLC.
In August, Banyan acquired the two-building, 290,000-square-foot office complex at 8750 NW 36th St. (One Doral Center) and 3750 NW 87th Ave. (Two Doral Center) and awarded Cushman & Wakefield the leasing assignment for the property.
Banyan plans to replicate its successful renovation and re-tenanting of The Offices at Doral Square, which is located across the street and also involved Cushman & Wakefield’s Agency Leasing team. Current, prominent tenants at Doral Center include Citibank, AARP, Western Digital, Lochner and Acer.
New features at Doral Center will include refurbished and upgraded interior common area corridors and restrooms. Doral Center’s grounds and exterior improvements include new landscaping, directional and monument signage throughout the property and exterior painting and cladding for both seven-story buildings. One Doral Center will feature COVID-safe spec suites ranging from 1,800 square feet to 6,000 square feet. Additionally, plans call for a multi-level parking deck with parking ratios in excess of four spaces per 1,000 square feet.
Doral Center offers proximity to Miami International Airport and is surrounded by an exceptional amenity base that includes a world-class golf resort and premier mixed-use projects such as the new, 152,000-square-foot Doral Square, which will provide a true walk-to-retail experience for tenants.
“With Doral Center, Banyan has the opportunity to build on its recent success at The Offices at Doral Square and its impressive track record of office-property value enhancement and creation,” said Gordon Messinger, Cushman & Wakefield Executive Managing Director. “The new Doral Center will offer Class A office space to match its top-flight location and complement Doral’s live-work-play urban corridor, walkability, accessibility to Miami International Airport and the area’s amenities.”
Messinger leads Doral Center’s leasing team, which also includes Executive Director Stuart Gordon and Director Matthew Bittel.
