Downtown Hollywood’s Bread Building Celebrates Grand Opening, Full Lease-Up, Honoring The Site’s History
BTI Partners celebrated the grand opening and full lease-up of the Bread Building, a 25-story mixed-use tower with 362 residences and 15,407 square feet of ground-floor retail in the heart of downtown Hollywood. The development also welcomed a new Walgreens on the ground floor, giving residents and the surrounding community convenient access to a neighborhood pharmacy and everyday essentials. The event was held on September 18, 2026, at the new Bread Building, located at 1770 South Young Circle in Hollywood.
Located directly across from the 10-acre ArtsPark at Young Circle, the development was built on the site of the former Hollywood Bread Building, which served as the headquarters of the Hollywood Bread Company. Founded by Eleanor Roth Hansberry as a home-based business in the 1940s, the company grew into a nationally recognized brand worth more than $12 million, with its diet bread endorsed by stars including Elizabeth Taylor, Grace Kelly, and Joan Crawford. Hansberry built the company’s landmark headquarters on the property in 1969, and its original sign, designed by artisan William Gilio Rio, was once visible for miles across the city.
BTI Partners chose the Bread Building name to maintain the property’s connection to downtown Hollywood’s history. The company also restored the original Hollywood Bread Building sign, which is now permanently displayed in the residential lobby.

The development brings hundreds of residents to Young Circle and adds a new street-level Walgreens, strengthening the connection between the building, ArtsPark, and the surrounding downtown district.
The grand opening comes as the City of Hollywood celebrated its centennial last year and continues implementing a downtown vision established more than two decades ago. Public investments, including ArtsPark and the recently completed $14.5 million Hollywood Boulevard Streetscape Improvement Project, have helped create the foundation for new private development.
“The City established a vision over 20 years ago for what the community wanted downtown Hollywood to be,” said Hollywood Mayor Josh Levy during the ribbon-cutting ceremony. “When you combine the public investment and the private investment, you can really bring a neighborhood to life. I think we can all say today this is an example of a great success in that regard.”
Designed to elevate both the resident experience and the surrounding neighborhood, the Bread Building offers more than 30,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor amenities, including a fitness center and yoga room, a sun-facing pool deck with an outdoor gaming area and bar, a coworking and business center, a community lounge, a spa, on-site concierge, a grilling pavilion, pet-friendly zones, bike storage, and electric vehicle charging.
The Bread Building was developed within a federally designated Opportunity Zone, helping attract long-term investment to an area positioned for continued growth. Its completion supports downtown Hollywood’s evolution into a destination where residents and visitors can enjoy dining, arts and cultural programming within walking distance and less than two miles from Hollywood Beach.
