Native Realty Brings Five Food-And-Beverage Concepts To Marina Village

Native Realty is giving Fort Lauderdale foodies much to be excited about.

The firm just finalized lease agreements with five food-and-beverage concepts at Marina Village, the waterfront food hall/entertainment venue located within the city’s iconic Bahia Mar resort.

Firm CEO Jaime Sturgis and COO Kaley Tuning exclusively represent Bahia Mar’s ownership, led by developer Jimmy Tate, in leasing Marina Village. With 35,000 square feet of open-air space nestled between the Intracoastal Waterway and Fort Lauderdale Beach, Marina Village is sure to become a go-to dining and entertainment destination.

“We are thrilled to activate a critical component of Bahia Mar by completing these Marina Village leases,” Sturgis said. “Marina Village will be the epicenter of Fort Lauderdale Beach and provide a much-needed elevated dining experience for locals to enjoy. All of these concepts were hand-picked and curated – they have established local followings and perfectly complement each other.”

The village offers ample seating and lounge areas for patrons, with a floating, stationary ferry that will be furnished with additional seating areas and feature a fully equipped DJ booth in the captain’s quarters.

Newly signed tenants at Marina Village include:

  • Blue Steel Pizza, a Detroit-style pizza concept that originated in New Jersey and has a big following
  • Burgers and Shakes, which has existing locations in Hollywood Beach and North Miami Beach. The Marina Village location will offer made-to-order burgers and shakes, along with two specialty craft beers
  • Fresh Garden Bowls, which provides healthy alternative food with seasonal, mostly organic and non-GMO ingredients
  • Quore Gelato, a fusion of small batch gelato and world-class liquors. Malcolm Stogo, the inventor of cookies-and-cream ice cream, is behind the concept. Quaro Gelato has existing locations in the Aventura Mall, Hollywood Beach and Wynwood
  • Yip, a fast-casual dim sum concept initially founded on handcrafting dumplings from scratch each morning. It has numerous locations in South Florida, including in Aventura, Doral and Wynwood

All five concepts are expected to open in the fourth quarter of 2023.

Tate noted that more than 30 restaurant operators made offers for Marina Village’s eight available kiosks.

“We are extremely pleased with the strong interest from so many restaurateurs, who desire to bring the best components of their respective menus to this unique open-air, waterfront food-and-beverage venue,” Tate said. “The best part is that we are afforded the opportunity to select the best of the best restaurants and create an array of interesting and fun food genres to magnify and greatly improve the overall guest experience.”

Native’s Adam Docktor represented Fresh Garden Bowls and Yip in their Marina Village leases. Tuning represented Blue Steel Pizza and Burgers and Shakes.

Bahia Mar’s $1 billion master development plan includes a luxury 256-key branded resort with 60 condominiums, 350 residential units in four towers, a mega-yacht marina with 245 boat slips, 87,000 square feet of commercial space including waterfront offices and restaurants, retail and captain’s quarters, a pedestrian boardwalk and green space.
