Jaime Sturgis Closes Off-Market Sale Of Fort Lauderdale Retail Building

Jaime Sturgis, CEO of Native Realty, once again creatively brokered an off-market deal in Fort Lauderdale’s Flagler Village. Sturgis arranged the sale of a retail building in the popular neighborhood to a well-known hospitality operator.

RE Acquisitions Federal LLC sold the building and two parking lots at 847, 849 and 851 N. Federal Hwy. to David Cardaci’s Knallhart Management Group.

The $1,075,000 transaction closed on Jan. 24.

Cardaci operates numerous successful food-and-beverage and nightlife concepts in the area, including Rhythm & Vine, The Wilder social club, Boulevard Kitchen & Juice Bar, Harrell’s Hot Dogs, Roxanne’s Lounge and The Whole Enchilada Fresh Mexican Grill locations. More recently, he converted the historic First Evangelical Lutheran Church building in Flagler Village into the home of restaurant Holly Blue and nightclub The Angeles.

Sturgis also brokered Cardaci’s lease for the church building and was pivotal in its adaptive re-use into a vibrant dining and nightlife destination.

The building just acquired by Cardaci is currently occupied by a dry cleaner.

“It is exciting to build on the success we had creating off-market opportunities for many clients in 2022 with this new investment sales transaction,” Sturgis said. “Native continues to focus on identifying and securing compelling dining, entertainment and nightlife concepts to curate Downtown Fort Lauderdale’s urban core. We look forward to Knallhart’s newest addition to Flagler Village.”

Native now operates from a new Fort Lauderdale office that is double the size of its previous headquarters. The 4,000-square-foot office is located at 1926 E. Sunrise Blvd. in the city’s Victoria Park neighborhood.
