Shops at Sunset Place Repositions 100,000 SF Of Retail Space

Simon Property Group has hired Blanca Commercial Real Estate to lease 100,000 square feet at The Shops at Sunset Place to office users.
The space at the retail center, at the intersection of U.S. 1 and Southwest 57th Avenue (Red Road), will be repurposed for office, education, medical office and related uses. The space is available immediately on the side where Nike once had a retail store.
CEO Tere Blanca, Executive VP Alison Pages and Associate VP Alexander Cahlin will work together to market the space.
The repositioned space may be built out, and users will have access to a reserved parking area in the property’s garage. Signage directly fronting U.S. 1 will be available for anchor tenants.
Opened in 1999 as South Miami’s first open-air retail marketplace, The Shops at Sunset Place is now home to AMC Theatres 24 with IMAX, LA Fitness, Barnes & Noble Booksellers, Splitsville Luxury Lanes and Dinner Lounge.
Blanca said the location has lots of vehicular traffic (TRAFFIC COUNT REPORT Courtesy of FloridaCIE), which is great for tenants, and has a full range of restaurants, stores and other amenities that corporations want for their employees.
